National Trial Lawyers has selected the Law Office Of Richard S. Cornfeld’s Daniel Levy as one of their Top 40 Under 40, an invitation-only elite group limited to the Top 40 “young lawyers” in each state.
Daniel is grateful to be nominated for this award with an organization whose mission is to promote excellence and foster diversity in the legal profession through advocacy training, networking and education of trial lawyers.
“It’s an honor to be nominated by my fellow attorneys for this award,” Levy said. “I just try to do the best work I can for my clients, so it’s pretty cool to see that work didn’t go unnoticed.”
This is by no means the first achievements in Levy’s career. Daniel served as an Assistant Attorney General in both the Governmental Affairs and Litigation divisions. While with the Attorney General’s Office, Daniel served as lead counsel in dozens of cases, focusing primarily on those involving claims of employment discrimination.
Daniel has handled all aspects of litigation, including several jury trials. As defense counsel, he first-chaired a jury trial resulting in a complete defense verdict in a case where the plaintiff alleged sexual harassment and retaliation and sought several hundred-thousand dollars in damages.
Daniel also first-chaired a jury trial in which he secured defense verdicts on both of the plaintiff’s Missouri Human Rights Act claims, age and disability discrimination. He has successfully briefed and argued several appeals, including drafting the successful brief in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in a case garnering local and national media attention challenging the constitutionality of certain Missouri regulations.
We’d like to share a huge congratulations on the top 40 Under 40 award and are proud to have Daniel on the Cornfeld team! Congrats Danny!
